I-95 CAP Demolition Timelapse Video: A New Delaware River Waterfront is on the Horizon
The I-95 CAP construction is making progress. A new Delaware River Waterfront is on the horizon.
View a timelapse video of the weekend demolition that took place from February 3 through February 5 for the partial demolition of the existing concrete covering over I-95 between Chestnut and Walnut Streets conducted by PennDot.
PennDot is replacing and expanding the existing covered section of I-95 at Penn’s Landing along the Waterfront in Center City Philadelphia under the department’s $329 million I-95/CAP project. Construction of a new 11.5-acre Park at Penn’s Landing, and a new South Street pedestrian bridge are the two main components of this project.
As construction continues, get excited about what is to come by reviewing the designs for the new Park at Penn’s Landing. The new park will have a new RiverRink, a play area, an amphitheater, a cafe, and much more.
